Native Performance Culture

        Research in progress that proposes to develop theatre methodology based on aboriginal performance principles inherent in ritual and traditional structures. An active exploration of Canadian aboriginal songs, dances, oratories, myths, then isolating their performance elements and applying them to performance development; mise en scene, montage, style, technique, improvisation. 

       This research is led by Floyd Favel, a Cree Indian from Saskatchewan. He works across Canada as a writer, director, actor and is the director of The Takwakin Performance Laboratory.
