Mary Vastaki is an actress, musician, a fairy tale writer and on 2004 she graduated from University as a kindergartner. From 2003, she finished her drama School ‘Archi’on physical theatre, she had been working as an actress in theatre for children for three years and at the same time continued her training with Tapa Sudana from Bali, investigating the connection between movement and voice through martial arts (tai chi, chi kung) and the Balinese expression of the “Three worlds”(spirit-body--emotion) - “Tri buana”, and established the group “The Family of the Tree”. The “Family of the Tree” continued to work together as a group- without its teacher- until summer of 2005. Mary started individual phonetic lessons with the musician Mary Esper and continues until today. After she finished drama school she made improvised performances to kindergartens and gave theatre lessons to children from 2005-2006. On 2004, she established her own theatre company “NARNIA”, with her companion and together created the group of the ‘Suffering Kokovgi (a kind of a fish)’, and made performances at the North Greece on 2006-2007. Nowadays, she wishes to continue her training in physical theatre as long as she cans and never stop fighting for her right to dream and for a renaissance in theatre.
