 Falling Among the Nettles

The piece to be presented at Malpils is the final section of a six part performance project which took place in six sites over five consecutive days April 29th-May 3rd 2003 in Exeter, Devon.
The project is one of several created during a three year investigation into 'Site as Source and Resource for Sounding Dance Improvisation', and took 'memory as site' as the starting point.
The sites, associated with memories and events, were a bluebell wood, a church hall and staircase, a boat, a Greek taverna, and the grounds and drama studios at the university of Exeter.
This sixth piece, created for one of the studios, interweaves themes that emerged during the process and is the most structured of all the performances which made up the project.
