Performance "Swinging Horizon"

Placing a little distance from dance as expressions and communications toward others, this dance is a quest for the universal body that unfolds from a keyword, “breath,” an inherent function of body. This quest has its gateway in eastern philosophies of Zen, martial arts, and yoga, and creates expressions in the form of swinging horizon like a floating buoy in the ocean, ascending and descending slightly. The swings arise from the realm of body existence, not ideology, and the repetitions of inhale and exhale.

This does not present a vertical body that ascends into the sky and descends into the earth, but rather presents a receptive body. In a sense, this solo performance presents itself as a creation of floating and expanding “body” as motherly and feminine forms.
