The Art of Acting Between Tradition & Contemporaneity is a week research and development opportunity. The training will emphasize the outstanding ideas of Michael Chekhov’s psychophysical approach, - improvisation as a method of rehearsal, work with psychological gesture, emotional content, conception and role of will, space and action etc. Interest in creative success of Russian theatrical tradition is so great that it is difficult to imagine a theatre or school of performing arts where, to a certain extent, it is not put into practice. And our descendants will have the opportunity to evaluate the contribution of contemporary approach.
The main object of the meeting is to unite actors from different countries of the world interested in contemporary theatre techniques and to find new ways of work and investigation. The project is focused on contemporary approach to the teaching of acting technique, investigation of the newest working out in the field of theatre methods, including the most effective techniques and exercises through movement, dance, voice etc. for development of skills and abilities necessary for the actor’s work on the stage. This will be the opportunity to share experience, ideas, plans and put in pawn a basis for the further professional contacts.
