Bovec, Slovenia

The conference will take place in Bovec, the mountain resort and the small ancient alpine town which is over 800 years old. Bovec is located in northwestern Slovenia in the Trenta valley of the Julian Alps within the Triglav National Park. It features the source of the river Soca, one of the most beautiful rivers in Europe and the 106m high Boka waterfall. 

Bovec is one of Europe's top centres for extreme and adventure sports including hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, canyoning, whitewater rafting and skiing.  Located at 2200m, Kanin near Bovec is Slovenia's highest ski centre.

The conference events will take place at Bovec Culture House. IUGTE will provide participants with hotel accommodation in twin and single rooms, two meals per day - breakfast and dinner, and free access to hotel swimming pool. All the rooms have private bathroom, cable TV and telephone. All meals are buffet style, there is a good choice for vegetarians. The restaurant is fully air conditioned. There is Wi Fi in the hotel and also Internet access at the Culture House.
